  1. Video 1: Women Reshaping the World

    This video is connected to theory of knowledge because it gives the perception of women around the world. It also connects to the TOK topics because it gives us information about the changes that women made around the world.The shows the languages and vocabulary that women use.

    Video 2: His Holiness the Karmapa: The technology of the heart

    This video is connected to theory of knowledge because it talks about the technology that we use today. I believe that it connects to the TOK topics because it shows the advance technology of today and it shows how it can be used.

    This website has to do with perception. When people see these items and hear they can help you. People actually go for it and do what they can to get that item or that product.

    Cyber weapons can affect peoples money and reason. Why does my computer go crazy? Is the world going to end? People get that from the intrnet well the uneducated gulible poeple. This had to do with human sciences and how the brain takes in ideas or just depends on the person.

  3. 1] Food Matters – Marcel Dicke: Why not eat insects?
    Marcel explains that insects are there when we don’t see them, war cost a lot but insets are free, and though people don’t eat insects, insects have nutrients. How its related to TOK is that the reason of not eating them are because of our perception. The way we see it, we rather kill them and not eat them because they looked gross. This gives us information of how much perception effects us just because somethings looks gross.

    2] Women Reshaping the World – 9/11 healing: The mothers who found forgiveness, friendship
    In the video, Phyllis Rodriguez tells how she and Aicha el-Wafi met because of the situations of what happened to their sons on Sept. 11 2001. How it relates to TOK is that their emotions brought them together. As mothers, they understood each other. This gives us information because emotion can affect us and connect us with others who understood or gone through situations.

    This video talks about science and reason. It connects to TOK because he talks about the reasons why people don’t believe in science and reason. It would be good to show because you can make your own opinions on whether or not science can be trusted.

    This video could connect to ethics. It can connect to ethics because you can decide if growing organs is right or wrong.

    This video is connected to our T.O.K class because it revolves around the one major topic we go through every day; the way our minds work and we makes us think.It connects to all the topics we have gone over because each and every one of us have our own way of thinking, we dont all think alike, we may have our similarities but there is always something we disagree on.

    This video is connected to perception because it is saying that people should consume more insects. Since, half of the world is already consuming insects. Why not us, the other countries that find eating insects disgusting?

    This video shows emotion through music. It is emphasize and telling a story through the amount of sound they are making. From sorrow to pain and sadness.

    This video connects to theory of knowledge because it shows how long how long we can live with only or smile. We are actually born smiling. This can relate to human science and emotions. We smile to express joy and satisfaction. Smiling can in fact help you be happier because our muscles can affect our emotions. The truth is that when looking at someone smiling it’s hard not to smile along with them.

    This video is related to theory of knowledge because inventing new things involve natural science. It is also showing perception because it is showing their thoughts about how invention can lead to new reason of how the world works.

    – This video connects to the theory of knowledge because it relates to human sciences and perception. What we believe makes us happy; for example a specific type of food, celebrity, or event can serve as our appeasement. The secrets to our brain causes us to feel our emotions and see things in different ways than others.

    Video 2:A Taste of TEDIndia/His Holiness the Karmapa: The technology of the heart
    – This relates to the theory of knowledge because karmapa talks about his belief and the reason behind it. He uses his experiences as an example to justify his point and prove that it is true. He believes that in paying more attention to more materialistic items we should focus more so on our heart and how that may affect us. Buddhism is incorporated with the reasons of logic.

    This relates to our class to to the extent that we all precieve happiness in our own ways. We each have a definition of what being happy is and we have reasons to back it up.

    -this relates to TOK by exemplifying human sciences in the way she was treated, as well as the way people reacted towards he r in her disposition.
    -it also helps us on perception because it shows how we perceive the homeless as being drug addicted drunks. this is not always the case.

    -this relates to TOK in both perception and human sciences. As well as exemplifying forms of their involvement in every day life. We as a collective tend to think we are infallible and right. Our admittance to our faults and wrongs help shape us, and help establish our character.

    This relates to perception and emotion because Joel Burns makes a speech about the kids who committed suicide due to the society’s perception of gays and he tells a personal story that brings out emotions.

    2. Marcel Dicke: Why not eat insects?
    This relates to perception and reason because some people think that eating insects is disgusting because they have their own personal views or follow others views, but Marcel Dicke states good reasons as to why we should eat insects.
